
Lacrosse Defeats Notre Dame in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Boston College women's lacrosse earned a 15-9 triumph against longtime rival No. 20 Notre Dame in Arlotta Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles stay undefeated with an 8-0 mark 3-0 in the ACC, while Notre Dame falls to 3-4 and 0-3 in the league.
For the second straight game, the trio of Emma LoPinto, Rachel Clark, and Mckenna Davis totaled at least five points apiece. LoPinto registered five goals with one point for six points.
Davis tied a season-best from her previous game with six points, leading the way with four assists and two goals. Rachel Clark netted three goals, two assists, and five points. Mia Mascone was the fourth Eagle with at least three points, notching two goals and one helper.
It was an early-contested game, as BC held a 3-2 lead after the fourth. Davis connected with LoPinto for the Eagles' first two scores before Mascone received the assist from Shea Baker.
Highlighting the contest was a 5-0 second quarter that gave BC an 8-2 edge at the break. Four different Eagles scored with Brooke McLoy capping off the run.
Notre Dame climbed back into the contest, slicing the deficit to four in the final period. Back-to-back goals by Devon Russell and Clark put the game away, clinching the Eagles' 16th straight victory since last season.
Shea Dolce netted 10 saves and a .526 save percentage. Lydia Colasante recorded a career-high seven draw controls with three ground balls and one caused turnover. The junior also added two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Baker carded three ground balls, three draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Michaela O'Connor registered three caused turnovers, contributing to the defense's 10 caused turnovers.
BC returns to action for a 3 p.m. matchup on Wednesday at UAlbany on the road.
