Steven Jackson Earns First Team All-American Honors at NCAA Championships

Jackson finishes 7th in the Men’s Mile final at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Steven Jackson earned first team All-American Honors as he placed seventh overall in the Men's Mile at the 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships.Â
The 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships were held on March 14-15 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
Steven Jackson represented Boston College at the championship meet, running in the Men's Mile.Â
Jackson started off the championship weekend with the Men's Mile Semifinal on Friday night. He earned an automatic qualifying bid to the final, as he finished third overall with a time of 3:57.09.Â
On the final day, Jackson raced against the top talent in the country for the Men's Mile title. Jackson started the race in the back of the pack, but was able to get a late kick to earn seventh overall with a time of 3:56.07. The graduate student from Reading, Mass. earned first team All-American honors for his top-eight finish.Â
Jackson is coming off a stellar indoor season as he took home the silver medal for the Men's mile at ACC Indoor Championships with a time of 4:02.43. Jackson was named to the All-ACC first team for his top-three finish. He also currently sits at No. 7 in the country and No. 3 out of ACC runners for his mile time of 3:52.71. Jackson currently holds the school record by over six seconds as he is only one of two BC runners to ever break a 4-minute mile.Â
