Men's Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season with Two Meets

Eagles earn six top-10 performances in school history
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Boston College Men's Track & Field team opened its outdoor season with the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. on March 27th, while also competing at the Bobcat Invitational over the span of March 27-29 in San Marcos, Texas.Â
Boston College had a total of 16 athletes competing across the two meets in North Carolina and Texas. The Eagles earned six top-10 performances in school history at the Raleigh Relays.Â
Raleigh Relays
Boston College kicked off the 2025 outdoor track & field season with the Raleigh Relays on Thursday, March 27 at Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of NC State.
Patrick Mulryan was the highest finisher for the Eagles during the day as he earned 19th place in the Men's 1500m with a time of 3:41.47. Mulryan's time moves him into No. 3 all-time in BC history.
Will Purnell finished 36th overall in the Men's 10,000m with a time of 28:48.35, which now puts him at No. 2 all-time in school history. Peter Fox crossed the finish line at 65th place with a time of 29:08.99, which is good for No. 4 all-time. Patrick Donnelly placed 87th in the Men's 5000m with a time of 14:06.44, which is also good for No. 4 all-time in school history.Â

Bobcat Invitational
Boston College continues its opening weekend of the 2025 outdoor track & field season with the Bobcat Invitational on March 27-29 at Texas State University Track and Field Complex on the campus of Texas State.
Colin Kravitz competed in section B of the Men's 200m on Thursday, finishing first overall with his time of 21.25. Max McQuide placed 14th overall with a time of 21.61. Kravitz's time now puts him at No. 4 all-time in school history, while McQuide moved up to No. 9 all-time.Â
The Eagles continued action on Thursday with more running events. Owen Pett and Ryan Beegle both earned top-10 performances in the Men's 800m. Pett (1:51.19) placed third overall, while Beegle (1:52.95) finished ninth. Aidan Brancaccio ran in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase and finished third with a time of 9:32.59.
On Saturday, Ryan Beegle and Owen Pett were the only two Eagles to compete. The duo took part in the Men's 1500m, and Ryan Beegle led the way with a seventh place finish as he earned a time of 3:51.32.Â
The Eagles wrapped up their opening weekend on Saturday with the Men's 400m. Max McQuide placed 16th overall with a time of 47.38, while Colin Kravitz finished just behind in 17th place with a time of 47.48.Â
Up Next: The Eagles will compete at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif. Apr. 4-5, while also traveling to Storrs, Conn. for the UConn Dog Fight Invite on April 5. Â
