Eagles Tie for Third Place at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite

Three BC Golfers Place Among the Top 12 in the Field
GREENSBORO, Ga. -- Boston College finished in a tie for third in its spring season opener at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational.
The Eagles improved their team scores in each round, opening with a score of 305 on Friday, followed by a 301 during Saturday's second round, and a final day 296 on Sunday - good for a 54-hole total score of 902.
Western Kentucky (884) won the team title, followed by Florida (890). Â BC tied with Mercer at 902.
Three BC golfers finished among the top 12 overall, led by Angel Lin. Â Lin fired an even-par final round 72, finishing with a total score of 222. Â She improved her scores in each round, opening with a 76, followed by a 74 in the second round.
Frances Kim finished one stroke behind Lin, good for seventh place (223). Â Kim's best round came during Sunday's final round, where she shot a 1-over par 73. Â She opened with a 74 and followed that up with a second round 76.
Cynthia Zhang tied for 12th place overall with a score of 225. Â She also played her best golf during Sunday's final day of competition, recording an even-par 72. Â Zhang got better as the tournament went on, posting scores of 77 and 75 in the opening two rounds.
Emily Böhrer tied for 56th place (236), registering her best round of the tournament during Saturday's second round (76). Â Stephany Kim tied for 66th place (78-83-78=239).
As a team, BC ranked second among the field in par 3 scoring (3.14 avg) and was fourth on the par 4 holes (4.27 avg). Â The Eagles ranked sixth in total pars, with 164.
