Men's Tennis Tops Merrimack 6-1

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles took home a 6-1 victory over Merrimack Tuesday afternoon in their second match of the spring season.
The Eagles hit the ground running as they took victories in all three doubles matches, earning the doubles point. Boston College's Aidan Pack and Jake Vassel recorded a 6-3 win, Liam O'Leary and Caleb Saltz recorded 6-2, and Andrew Ilie and Matthew Overvelde recorded 6-3.
Saltz, Vassel, and Ilie tallied their second victories of the afternoon as each won their respective singles match. Mai Gao and Connor McDonald earned themselves a win as Gao recorded a 6-0, 6-3 victory in No. 4 singles, and McDonald recorded 6-1, 6-1 in No. 6 singles.
Two Eagles ended their singles matches 1-1, and headed into super tie breakers. Jake Vassel tallied a victory in No. 2 singles as he finished 6-7, 6-3, 10-5.
