BC plays Binghamton and Duke tomorrow
The Eagles got on the board first thanks to an RBI single from Makenna Segal, which scored Zoe Hines. The Gators answered in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on two hits.Â
BC would strike back in the top of the second, scoring three runs of their own, thanks to an RBI single from Hines, a wild pitch, and a bases loaded walk. Four Eagles recorded hits in the second inning.
In the third inning, Florida recorded three runs, while BC added another run thanks to a Gator Robinson walk. The Eagles scored again in the fifth off of an RBI single from Janis Espinoza. In the top of the seventh, Abby Ptak recorded her first RBI, bringing the score to 12-7, but it was too little too late, as the Gators secured the win.
Up next: The Eagles are back in action tomorrow morning, as they face Binghamton University at 9:00 a.m. and Duke University in a non-conference matchup at 2:00 p.m.
