Five Eagles score in double figures to secure home win
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College men's basketball earned a 72-61 victory over FDU on Monday night at Conte Forum on Edgerly Family Court.

Toews led the Eagles with 21 points and three assists, while Donald Hand Jr. provided a spark offensively, finishing with 13 points. Aidan Shaw helped anchor the defense with 11 total rebounds to secure the win.

FIRST HALF
- FDU opened with a driving layup by Taeshaud Jackson, followed by a three-pointer from Eric Parnell
- Boston College answered at 16:39, as Luka Toews used back-to-back jumpers to even the score 8-8
- Boden Kapke contributed off the bench, connecting on a jumper and layup to give the Eagles a 17-15 lead
- FDU responded with three consecutive jumpers to surge ahead 26-15. The Knights would extend the lead to 14, their largest of the night
- Hand Jr. used a series of free throws, followed by a fast break driving layup, and a pull-up jumper to cut the deficit to 8
- FDU would hold a 33-25 lead going into halftime
SECOND HALF
- FDU jumped out in the second period with a dunk by Jackson at 19:27.BC quickly countered with a three-pointer from Fred Payne, his first points of the night
- Boston College continued to gain momentum behind jumpers from Payne and a layup from Jayden Hastings to cut the deficit to five.
- A block by Shaw at 14:45 sparked a decisive run for the Eagles. Kapke used two post layups, while Toews laced his fourth three-pointer of the evening to make it 44-43 and reclaim the lead
- BC held tight defensively in the final five minutes. Payne secured key rebounds, leading to a driving layup at 4:56, followed by three-pointers from both Toews and Steger
- Boston College extended its lead to 10 as Hand Jr. and Steger hit free throws to secure the win.
- BC went on to earn a 72-61 victory
