
Third-Period Surge Powers Eagles Past BU, 5–2

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College women's hockey used a dominant third period to pull away from Boston University, scoring three times in the final frame to secure a 5–2 victory on Thursday night at Kelley Rink. Sophomore Sage Babey led the offense with a three-point effort, while senior goaltender Grace Campbell backstopped the win with 43 saves.
BU opened the scoring at 9:03 of the first, but the Eagles responded with a strong push late in the period. Alanna Devlin tied the game at 17:12 off a setup from Babey, and freshman Ava Thomas gave BC a 2–1 lead at 19:06, finishing a feed from Sammy Taber and Madelyn Murphy.
The Terriers pulled even on a power-play goal at 15:42 of the second period, sending the teams to the intermission deadlocked at 2–2.
The Eagles took control early in the third. Emma Conner scored the game-winning goal just 1:09 into the frame off a feed from Jade Arnone and Alaina Dunn, sparking a three-goal rally. Babey extended the lead at 3:26 after a setup from Maxim Tremblay and Conner. Tremblay added an insurance marker at 5:41 to push the advantage to 5–2.
Campbell was strong throughout, stopping 17 shots in the first, 14 in the second, and 12 in the third to earn her sixth win of the season. Conner added a standout defensive effort as well, blocking five shots to help seal the rivalry victory.
