Conner Scores Twice as Eagles Edge BU, 3–2

BOSTON — Emma Conner scored twice, including the game-winning goal late in the third period, to lift the Boston College women's hockey team to a 3–2 victory over Boston University on Friday night in a Hockey East matchup at Agganis Arena.
Conner opened the scoring at 16:12 of the first period with a shorthanded goal, giving the Eagles a 1–0 lead. BU responded 29 seconds later on the power play, but BC regained the advantage in the final minute of the frame. On a late power play, Kate Ham buried her fifth goal of the season at 19:51, finishing a feed from Maxim Tremblay and freshman Ava Thomas to send the Eagles into intermission ahead 2–1.
After a tight, scoreless second period, the Terriers tied the game at 5:44 of the third on a goal from Clara Yuhn. Both teams traded chances as the period wore on before Conner delivered the winner with 3:18 remaining in regulation, finishing a feed from Sage Babey and Olivia Maffeo to put BC back in front for good.
Senior goaltender Grace Campbell turned aside 31 shots, including 13 in the third period, as the Eagles shut down BU's push in the closing minutes. The Terriers finished with a slight 33–32 edge in shots on goal, while the Eagles blocked 15 attempts. Thomas led BC with eight shots, and Conner delivered a strong two-way effort with five blocks to go along with her two goals.
Boston College went 1-for-5 on the power play, added a shorthanded marker, and held BU to 1-for-6 with the extra skater.
