
Women's Hockey Score Four Unanswered to Defeat Merrimack, 4–0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Four different Eagles found the back of the net and senior goaltender Grace Campbell recorded a 24-save shutout as the Boston College women's hockey team earned a 4–0 win over Merrimack on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
After a scoreless opening period, the Eagles broke the game open in the second with a three-goal surge. Sophomore defender Olivia Maffeo started the scoring at 11:44, jumping into the play and finishing a feed from Lauren Glaser for the eventual game-winner. Freshman Ava Thomas extended the lead at 17:50 with her ninth goal of the season, and senior Madelyn Murphy capped the explosive period less than a minute later, burying a setup from Sage Babey and Maffeo to make it 3–0.
BC continued to control play into the third, outshooting Merrimack 14–10 in the frame. Freshman Maxim Tremblay added the Eagles' fourth goal at 13:00, finishing a pass from Emma Conner to seal the win.
The Eagles posted a 33–24 edge in shots on goal, with 12 players recording at least one shot and six players registering points. Campbell turned away every Merrimack opportunity, including 10 saves in the final period, to secure her shutout.
With the victory, Boston College improves to 8–6–1 overall and 7–2–1 in Hockey East.
