Eagles Skate to a Tie Against UConn

Sammy Taber had the lone goal for the Eagles.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Eagles and the UConn Huskies skated to a tie on Friday night. The Huskies walked with the shootout victory, earning the Hockey East extra point.
The two sides were deadlocked for the first 40 minutes of the game. Neither team could find the back of the net. In the third period, the Huskies got on the board first. Claire Murdoch slid one past Grace Campbell seven minutes into the period. The Eagles returned the goal with four minutes left on a goal from Sammy Taber.
In Overtime, neither side could break the tie, sending the game to shootouts to decide who gets the extra point for the Hockey East standings.
In the shootout, UConn scored on one of their three attempts, while the Eagle could not find the back of the net.
