Eagle Prepare for First Game of 2025
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - The No. 11 Boston College women's hockey starts the second half of the season by hosting UConn and Maine.Â
The Eagles will face off against the Huskies on Friday, Jan. 3, and return to action on Sunday, Jan. 5, against Maine.Â
Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The game will air on NESN. Â

- Sammy Taber is first in Hockey East in points with 16. Taber is currently averaging 1.23 points pre-game.Â
- Head Coach Katie Crowley earned her 400th win against Northeastern. Crowley is the only active female head coach with 400 wins.  Â
- Abby Newhook joined the 100th point club last against Northeastern. Newhook currently has 52 goals and 48 assists.Â

- Boston College would improve to 13-6-0 overall and 9-4-0 in Hockey East play.

- UConn holds a record of 12-8-0 and a league record of 5-4-0.Â
- The Eagles split the two-game series earlier in the season against the Huskies.Â
- UConn has scored 42 times this year, averaging 2.1 goals a game, while they have let their opponents score 35 times averaging 1.8 goals per game.Â
- Claire Murdoch leads UConn in points with 15 points she also leads the team in goals with six.Â
- Tia Chan has spent the most time between the pipes for the Huskies, starting in 12 games. Chan has a save percentage of .94 and a goals-allowed average of 1.51.Â
SCOUTING MAINE
- Maine holds a record of 4-16-0 and a league record of 4-10.Â
- The Eagles traveled to Maine earlier this year, with BC walking away with two wins.Â
- UConn has scored 30 times this year, averaging 1.5 goals a game, while they have let their opponents score 72 times averaging 3.6 goals per game.Â
- Alyssa Wruble leads the team in goals with five, she also leads the team in points with 11.Â
- Kiia Lahtinen has spent the majority of the time in between the pipes for Maine. Lahtinen has a save percentage of .894 and a goals-allowed average of 3.46. Â
FIRST HALF RECAPÂ
- The Eagles wrapped up the first half of their season against Holy Cross. Â
- BC had a tough start to the season, after defeating Stonehill, the Eagles went on a three-game skid.   Â
- The season turned around after they beat No. 3 Clarkson, they went on to win nine out of their last 12 games.
- Two of BC's conference losses came from ranked opponents.Â
