CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Jacob Fowler was named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List on Wednesday, presented annually to the top goalie in NCAA Division I Hockey since 2014.
Fowler is one of 35 goaltenders across the country, and one of six in Hockey East, to be named the Watch List.
The Florida native leads Hockey East in shutouts with four, good for second in Division I. Fowler is also second in Hockey East in both saves percentage (.928) and goals against average (1.83). His GAA is ninth-best in the country.
This is the second consecutive year in which the sophomore was named to the Watch List, having finished as one of the three finalists during the 2023-24 campaign.
Fowler and the Eagles take on Providence in a home-and-home series this weekend, with Friday's game at Kelley Rink before making the trip to Schneider Arena on Saturday.
