Eagles Check in at No. 1 in USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse enters the season at No. 1 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Poll.
The Eagles are coming off a magical season, capturing a second national title win since 2021, while earning a second consecutive ACC title and 20-3 mark. Boston College went 20-3 for its third 20-win season since 2018 and leads the nation in victories with 124 since 2017.
Northwestern is No. 2 in the country, while Michigan (No. 3), North Carolina (No. 4) and Virginia (No. 5) round out the top five.
BC returns the likes of Rachel Clark, Emma LoPinto and Mckenna Davis on offense while returning Shea Baker, Lydia Colasante and Shea Dolce. The Eagles bring in the third-ranked recruiting class featuring four players in the top 50.
The Eagles open the season on Feb. 7 against No. 8 Loyola at 1 p.m. in Fish. The Greyhounds are one of four teams currently in the top eight BC will face this season.
