A Three-Goal Second Half Propels BC Over Virginia Tech

Eagles pick up their first ACC victory since 2022.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer picked up their first ACC win of the season in a 3-1 victory over Virginia Tech on Sunday.
This marks BC's first ACC win since Oct. 6, 2022 when the Eagles took down Syracuse.
Virginia Tech got on the board first in the 23rd minute of the game. The Hokies held onto the 1-0 lead going into the second half.
The Hokies had a chance to extend their lead on a penalty kick that went wide.
BC was awarded a corner kick in the 70th minute of the game. Aislin Streicek took the corner that connected with freshman Amailia Dray who found the back of the net for the equalizer and her first career goal.
Streicek gave the Eagles the go-ahead goal off a penalty kick. Ava Lung sealed the victory of the Eagles in the 86th minute, scoring off the rebound of Sydney Segalla's shot.
The Eagles return to action on Oct. 3, when they travel to take on North Carolina State.
