Men’s Soccer Bounces Back with Victory over Siena

Marco Dos Santos had one goal and one assist
NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College men's soccer bounced back with a 3-1 non-conference victory over Siena on Tuesday evening at the Newton Soccer Field. Marco Dos Santos led all players with three points after registering one goal and one assist.
BC improves to 3-1-3 overall while Siena drops to 1-3-3.
Ask Ekeland opened the scoring in the 26th minute when he buried a free kick from the edge of the box for his fifth goal of the campaign.
The Eagles doubled the lead minutes later when Christian Bejar tallied his first goal of the season. Dos Santos beat a defender and cut towards the endline before placing a pass back across the face of goal to Bejar for the tap-in.
Siena scored early into the second half but Dos Santos pushed the lead back to two with a goal in the 79th minute of play. Jack Burkhardt sent a long ball down the right flank, Dos Santos won the foot race to get to the ball before chipping it over the Saints goalkeeper into the back of the net.
Brennan Klein made four saves for BC, earning his third win of the season.
The Eagles hit the road to take on No. 2 Pitt Friday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ACCNX.
