Men’s Soccer Falls to No. 2 Pitt

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Boston College men's soccer was defeated by No. 2 Pitt in ACC action on Friday evening by a score of 2-0.
BC drops to 3-2-3 overall and 0-2-1 in league play while Pitt is now 7-1-0 overall with a 3-0-0 conference record.
The Panthers struck both of their goals in the second half, with the first coming in the 48th minute through Albert Thorsen before Luis Sahmkow doubled the lead in the 85th minute of play.
Boston College generated opportunities in each half. Christian Bejar's strike in the 35th minute hit off the right post after Xavier O'Neil brought the ball down the wing and found him in the box.
Michael Asare had a good chance at goal in the 70th minute, but his close range effort was stopped by Pitt goalkeeper Cabral Carter.
Brennan Klein made four saves in goal for BC.
The Eagles take on Boston University in the Battle of Comm Ave on Tuesday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Nickerson Field and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
