Eagles were 2-under as a team for the tournament
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Boston College finished third at the Bryan National Collegiate, shooting 3-under par as a team during Tuesday's final round. The Eagles were 2-under for the tournament, with a total team score of 862.
For the second time in as many starts this fall, Markus Lam placed second overall. The sophomore finished at 7-under par, one stroke off the winner - Kelvin Hernandez of UNC Greensboro. Lam fired a 3-under 69 on Tuesday. He opened the tournament with a bogey-free round of 68 and was at even-par on Monday.
Two other BC golfers - Jack Pogorelc and Ben Hong - finished among the top 11 on the leaderboard, coming in at 1-under par for the tournament. After a day one 71, Pogorelc registered back-to-back even-par rounds on Monday and Tuesday. For Hong, he saw his best two rounds of play come on Monday and Tuesday, combining to go 3-under.
BC returns to action at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse, held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Hampden, Mass.
