Team USA Ends Dominant Run With Gold Medal

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Team USA captured gold with a dominating 23-6 win over Canada on Saturday morning, completing a run that saw the Stars and Stripes outscore their opponents by a combined score of 211-20.
Team USA Captain Shea Baker, Shea Dolce, Lydia Colasante and Emma LoPinto played a pivotal role in the seven-game run. The quartet of Eagles ended a magical 2024 season in which they claimed an ACC title, a national championship and now a gold medal.
LoPinto was named the Tournament MVP after leading the way with 49 points thanks to 26 goals and 23 assists. She set the Team USA record for points in a tournament, surpassing Kristen Waagbo's record of 44 points set in 2003. Colasante and Dolce were named to the All-World selection team, while team captain Baker finished with nine goals and three assists for 12 points.
Game 7 (Finals) - USA 23, Canada 6 - Box Score
- Dolce made a pair of saves in the first half that kept Canada at bay.
- LoPinto registered two goals and three assists in the win.
- Colasante finished with one ground ball in the win.
- USA jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and later a 12-2 halftime advantage.
- Canada scored three times in the third, but USA scored three times in the third and pulled away later in the fourth period.

Game 6 (Semifinals) - USA 33, Australia 1 - Box Score
- The Stars and Stripes are back in the finals for the eighth straight time in the event's history and will look for its sixth overall championship.
- LoPinto dominated once again with a team-high seven goals and three assists. She has a team-high 44 points.
- Team USA started with a 19-0 run before Australia found the back of the net for their only score of the game.
- Baker finished with one goal and one draw control.
- Colasante collected three ground balls with one CT.
- Dolce started in net for the sixth time.
- Team USA will face Team Canada in the finals on Saturday at 6:30 a.m. ET.

- Team USA earned a 25-goal victory in the first game of the knockout round.
- Team USA will face No. 3 seed Australia in the semifinals on Thursday morning at 4 a.m. EST.
- LoPinto turned in four points with three goals and one assist. Her 34 points continues to lead the team and the field.
- Baker recorded two goals and one assist for three points, while she also tallied a draw control.
- Colasante had her best game of the tournament with a pair of caused turnovers, two ground balls and a goal.

GAME 2 - USA 28, Puerto Rico 4 - Box Score
- The quartet of Eagles with Team USA started once again.
- LoPinto tied a game high with five goals and dished out three assists for eight points. The senior attacker has a team-best 17 points (9 G, 8 A) through the first two contests of Pool Play, which also leads the entire field.
- Baker did it all with a goal, two ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
- Colasante continues her solid play in Hong Kong, tying for the team lead with Baker with a pair of caused turnovers. Colasante is tied for a team-high three caused turnovers through two contests.
- Dolce made three saves in the first half of the contest, posting a .500 save percentage.
