Apuzzo Claims AU Pro Lacrosse Title

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse assistant coach Sam Apuzzo captured the Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse title on Sunday. Apuzzo led the league with 1,852 leaderboard points after helping her team capture a 13-10 win to close out the season.
The 2018Â Tewaaraton Award winner finished third with 29 goals, fourth in draw controls (44), added eight assists and caused 10 turnovers. Apuzzo registered an 8-4 record as a captain including three straight wins to close the season. She led the league with 642 Stat Points and 330 MVP Points. She is the first athlete in any AU sport to medal in four seasons.
Charlotte North's 1,654 points were good for third on the leaderboard. North broke the single-season goals mark with 50 and her eight goals earlier this season in a game set an AU Pro record.
Sydney Scales, in her rookie season, was named to the all-defensive team. In addition, four other former Eagle standouts in Dempsey Arsenault, Kenzie Kent, Courtney Taylor and Cassidy Weeks put forth solid seasons in the fourth year of the league.
