
Belle Smith Named CSC Academic All-District

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse senior Belle Smith was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Smith, a Applied Psychology and Human Development major, was named academic all-district for the first time in her career.
The midfielder was a consensus All-American this season, first-team All-ACC and was named ACC Midfielder of the Year for a second straight season.
Smith finished fourth on the team in goals (43), assists (20), and fifth in points with 63. She also posted a career-high 47 draw controls with 29 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.
She finished her career fourth all-time with 294 points, fourth with 197 goals and sixth with 97 assists. Smith was picked 10th in the fourth annual Athletes Unlimited College Draft and ended her career with 76 wins, two national titles and two ACC championships.
The Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.Â
