Martello Nominated for 2024 ESPYS Best Championship Performance

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse senior Kayla Martello was nominated for the 2024 ESPYS Best Championship Performance.Â
Martello scored five goals in the 14-13 comeback victory against Northwestern in the national title, highlighted by four in the second quarter that sparked the comeback from a 6-0 deficit. Â Winners will be announced on July 11 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Fans can vote for Martello by clicking HERE.Â
The New York native was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after her stellar performance. She helped the Eagles earn a second national title in four seasons, and scored 11 goals through the ACC title (6 goals) and the national championship.Â
She finished her stellar career seventh all-time with 180 goals and reached the 200-point milestone. She ended her career with 76 wins, two ACC titles and a pair of national championships.Â
BC finished the season with a 20-3 mark, a second straight ACC title and a national championship.Â
