Parker Landwehr, pitching staff shine in Eagles' game one victory
Parker Landwehr (Baltimore, Md.) opened the scoring in the third inning, driving a solo home run to the Fenway bullpen for his third blast of the season. Vince Cimini (Scranton, Pa.) followed suit an inning later, wrapping a two-run homer around the Pesky Pole for his fifth long ball of the season, putting the Eagles up 3-0.
A.J. Colarusso (Leominster, Mass.) started the game and tossed four lights-out innings to let the Eagles jump ahead.
Michael Farinelli (New York, N.Y.), Travis Lane (Georgetown, Mass.), and Eric Schroeder (Ridgewood, N.J.) combined for five strong innings of relief, with Schroeder earning the win (4). Landwehr went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Schroeder and Colarusso both struck out five in their appearances.
