Eagles Prepare for Midweek Match-up with the Huskies

Boston College prepares for a six week run at home.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– The Boston College softball program returns home to host UConn Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. The Eagles are 22-11 on the season and 4-5 in ACC play, UConn is 18-15 on the season and 6-2 in the Big East.Â
The Eagles are coming off of one win in a three game series against No. 16 Clemson. Despite dropping the series, the Eagles secured its first program victory against the Tigers. Abby Dunning led the Eagles in a 4-0 shutout to No. 16 Clemson. Dishing out 140 pitches striking out seven batters, allowing just three hits, and four walks. Dunning finished the game with a .70 ERA against the Tigers.Â
The Eagles and Huskies have met 67 times with the Huskies leading the series, 21-46. The first meeting of the two teams dates back to 1992. The last meeting of the teams in 2023 was in Storrs, Conn. The Eagles took the match-up with a 4-3 victory.Â
