Eagles Late Rally Pushes Past the Huskies

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– The Boston College softball program held UConn scoreless through seven innings of work as BC defeated the Huskies, 2-0, to improve to 23-11 on the season.
The team's were evenly matched, remaining scoreless into the sixth inning. The Eagles added two unanswered runs in the sixth. Emma Jackson advanced to first on a ball, then moved to second on a stolen base, and landed on third off of a sacrifice bunt. On a UConn passed ball Jackson ran through home plate putting the Eagles ahead, 1-0. BC added one more in the sixth off of a Makenna Segal bunt, Nicole Giery ran from third through home plate.Â
The Eagles return to action Friday at 4:00 p.m. for a three game series against Pittsburgh at the Harrington Athletics Village.
