
West Coast Road Trip Ends in 6-1 Defeat for BC

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Eagles (4-6, 0-3 ACC) wrapped up their west coast road trip at the University of California Santa Barbara (6-3, 0-0 BWC), dropping a 6-1 decision on Thursday.
Boston College was able to continue its success in doubles competition, clinching the point early from wins by Anesh Jayasundera/Jake Vassel (6-4) and Will Kasten/Matthew Overvelde (6-3).
However, the Eagles were unable to contain UCSB in singles competition, dropping the first five matches in straight sets. Mai Gao forced the final match into a third-set tiebreaker but fell short 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-4.

BC continues its road stint next week on Mar. 15 when the team visits No. 28 Georgia Tech at 1:00 p.m.
