BC Faces Orange for the second ACC match-up of the season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– Boston College softball team hosts Syracuse for its ACC home opener March 22nd, at the Harrington Athletics Village, for a three-game series.

The Eagles continue at home after a six game stretch against Stonehill, Holy Cross, Iona, Quinnipiac, and Maine defeating all teams leaving the Eagles 6-0 at home, and 18-8 on the season. Syracuse is coming off of a 1-2 performance against Virginia, sitting 13-11 on the season.

Boston College and Syracuse have met 31 times on the diamond with BC leading the series, 19-12. In the Eagles last meeting with the Orange, BC took all three games, with a 4-2 victory in the last game of the series. The Eagles have won the past five meetings of the teams since 2021.

The Eagles pitching staff are ranked second in the ACC with a 1.37 ERA with an 18-8 record. Including 10 shutouts in 179 innings pitched.
The Eagles defesne is ranked second in the ACC with 715 catches and 537 putouts with a fielding percentage of .975.
Nicole Giery leads the ACC with 11 doubles and Hannah Slike is also among the top in the ACC placing her ninth with seven on the season
The Eagles dominate the ACC with athletes caught stealing placing Hannah Slike, Emma Jackson, and Kali Case in the top ten. Each has 2 caught stealing placing them sixth through eighth respectively.
Gator Robinson is currently ranked seventh in the ACC with three sacrifice bunts.
