CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - No. 1 Boston College lacrosse battled until the end but suffered a 14-11 loss to No. 3 Northwestern on Thursday evening at the Newton Lacrosse Field.Â

The visitors answered Clark's goal to keep the lead at five, but LoPinto and Clark scored two straight times to slice the gap to three before the half.Â
The Wildcats stayed in front of BC, answering every attempt to narrow the gap. The Eagles were able to bring the lead to within three, 14-11, but NU ran the clock out.Â
