BOSTON COLLEGE VS. VIRGINIA - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game is the 29th all-time meeting between the two teams.
- Boston College is 9-19 all-time against Virginia. In ACC regular season play, BC is 8-15 against Virginia.
- This is the lone 2023-24 regular season meeting with the Cavaliers. Last season, the two teams split the regular season series.
- The #7/7 Cavs won, 76-57, at John Paul Jones Arena on Jan. 28, 2023.Â
- In the last meeting, BC beat #6/6 Virginia, 63-48, on Feb. 22, 2023. The win for BC snapped a five-game losing streak vs. UVA.
MASON MADSEN, FOR STARTERS
- Since entering the starting lineup five games ago, Mason Madsen is averaging 17.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists. and 1.0 steals.
- Last time out at N.C. State, Madsen scored 21 points (8-11 FG; 4-7 3FG) to go with seven boards and two assists.
- On Feb. 17, Madsen drilled a career-high seven 3-pointers en route to a career-high 25 points in a win over Miami.
- Over the last five games, Madsen is also posting a 1.83:1 ATR.
- At Florida State, he made 4-of-8 3-pointers, scoring 14 points.
- In the Feb. 13 win over Louisville, the 6-4 guard had 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and a block in 23 minutes.
- Madsen had a team-high 15 points (6-11 FG) at Duke on Feb. 10.
- In six total games as a starter this year, he is averaging nearly 17.0 points per game and has made 20-of-38 3-pointers.
- In the 21 games he came off the bench, Madsen averaged 6.1 points per game in nearly 17 minutes per outing.
- For the season, he leads BC in 3FG% (46-98, .469), is second in 3FGM (46), and has connected on all 29 of his FT attempts.
POST AMONG NATION'S ELITE
- Quinten Post is one of the best players in the country and his stat line for the Eagles this season is perfect evidence.
- He is the only major conference player in the nation averaging 15.9 points, 7.7 boards, 3.0 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.
- The last ACC player to average that season stat line: Wake Forest's Tim Duncan in 1996-97.
- Using only points and rebounds: Post is one of seven major conference players averaging at least 15.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game; two in the ACC (Flipkowski, Omier); four of those players are on the Wooden midseason list.
- Using only points and assists: Post is one of 21 major conference players to average at least 15.9 points and 3.0 assists per game. Since 1996-97, he is one of seven major conference players 6-10 or taller to average 15.9 ppg/3.0 apg.Â
- Post is also posting nearly a 50/40/80 line of shooting percentages - at 50.8 FG%, 44.3 3FG%, and 79.4 FT%.
- Post is one of two players in the nation to post those percentages (min. 16.0 ppg).
- It's not a small sample: in 76 games at BC since 2021-22, Post has registered nearly a 50/40/80 shooting line - .514 FG; .418 3FG; .786 FT. - the only active player (min. 10.0 ppg) to post such shooting lines since the start of 2021-22- present.

MOST IMPROVED McGLOCKTON
- Devin McGlockton is one of the ACC's Most Improved Players, showing major jumps in several stat categories
- Through 27 games, McGlockton is fourth on the Eagles in scoring (10.6) and second in rebounding (6.3) and blocks (1.0).
- McGlockton's per game averages have increased across the board: scoring +4.6, rebounding +2.1, and blocked shots +0.3.
- In ACC play (16 games), McGlockton is averaging 12.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in 32 minutes per game.
- Year-over-year, he has almost tripled his scoring (+7.2) and more than doubled his rebounding (+4.0) in ACC games.
- McGlockton ranks first in the league in FG percentage (ACC games only) at .609 (81-133); up from .500 a year ago.
- The 6-7 forward has scored in double figures in 11 of 16 ACC games.
- McGlockton registered the seventh-highest single-game scoring total in ACC play - a 30-point performance at Georgia Tech.

ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE HELPERS
- As a playmaker, Jaeden Zackery ranks among the top players nationally in three different categories.
- He is 73rd nationally in assist/turnover ratio (2.40:1), 109th in total assists (115), and 114th in assists per game (4.3).
- Earlier this month, Zackery became the 14th different Eagle since 1996-97 to reach the 100 assist mark in a season.
- Zackery's 115 assists are the most by a BC player since Ky Bowman (125) during the 2018-19 campaign.
DISHIN' AND SWISHIN'
- Boston College's top three scorers - Quinten Post, Claudell Harris Jr., and Jaeden Zackery - are also its top three assists men.
- Zackery ranks third in scoring (11.7) and first in assists (4.3), Post is first in scoring (15.9) and second in assists (3.0), and Harris is second in scoring (13.7) and third in assists (2.1). The trio combines for nearly 9.3 of the 14.4 assists per game.
- Wake Forest is the only other ACC school to have its top three scorers rank as its top three distributors.
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
- BC has connected on 44 3-pointers over its last four games: 11 vs. Louisville, 15 vs. Miami, nine at FSU and N.C. State.
- Over that stretch, the Eagles are connecting at a .463 clip from the perimeter, making 44-of-95 shots from deep.
- The 15 3-pointers made against Miami tied for the fourth-most in a single-game in Boston College men's basketball history.

- Since joining the Eagles in 2021-22, Post has tallied 992 points in 76 games for the Maroon and Gold.
