
BC Drops 81-70 Decision at N.C. State

Mason Madsen led Boston College with 21 points
RALEIGH, N.C. — Boston College surrendered an 81-70 contest to N.C. State on Saturday afternoon. Mason Madsen led three Eagles in double figures, with 21 points.
Madsen and Donald Hand Jr. would combine for 25 points in a second-half comeback effort.
For the game, BC connected on 44.6% from the floor - including 50.0% (14-28) in the second half. The Eagles made 9-of-20 from the outside and 11-of-13 from the line. They were outscored by 10 at the charity stripe, as N.C. State converted 21-of-24 for the afternoon.
FIRST HALF

BC was plagued by a slow start, making 1-of-6 shots from the floor with five turnovers through the first four and a half minutes of the game. The Eagles trailed 6-4 at the first break.

N.C. State scored the next 10 points, taking an 18-6 lead with less than nine minutes left in the half

The Wolfpack led by as many as 14 - 25-11 with 6:32 left - before a 15-7 BC push, capped by a Mason Madsen trey, halved the deficit - 33-26 with 1:47 left in the period.

The Eagles made 4-of-13 shots to start the second half and N.C. State extended its lead to 18 points - 60-42 - with 11:03 to play

Devin McGlockton was assessed a flagrant two foul after his blocked shot of NCSU's Ben Middlebrooks' shot on a breakaway with 10:54 remaining was deemed dangerous. He was ejected from the contest.

Madsen scored 14 of his 21 over the final 20 minutes of play
