BC Unable to Hold Off Seminoles, 84-76

Jaeden Zackery led the Eagles with 19 points; became the 46th member of BC's 1,000-point club
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Boston College dropped an 84-76 decision at Florida State on Tuesday night.  Jaeden Zackery led four Eagles in double figures, with 19 points - including the 1,000th of his career.
Knotted at 43-43 at the half, the Seminoles used a hot shooting hand to pull away midway through the second half. Â After a traditional three-point play by Quinten Post with 11:07 to play gave BC its final lead of the game at 61-60, FSU went on a 10-0 which put the game away for good.
The Seminoles would build as much as a 12-point lead down the stretch, en route to securing a sweep of the regular season series.
Quinten Post had 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots. Â Mason Madsen added 14 points, four boards, and two assists (4-8 3FG) and Devin McGlockton chipped in with 13 points.
BC connected on nearly 52% of its shots from the floor - including 9-of-22 from the perimeter - but yielded 84 points and 55% shooting to FSU en route to the loss.

FIRST HALF
- Both teams got off to a hot start, combining to hit the first eight shots of the game
- Boston College made five of its first six including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, taking a 13-12 lead at the 16-minute media timeout
- Jaeden Zackery's 3-pointer with 10:12 left gave BC its largest lead of the half - five points - at 26-21
- FSU countered with nine unanswered over the next five minutes, taking a 30-26 lead with 7:17 to go.
- The Seminoles led by five - 39-34 - before a BC 7-1 push, capped by another Madsen 3-pointer - made it 41-40 with 41 ticks remaining.
- After FSU converted a traditional three-point play, Claudell Harris Jr. drained a corner jumper to knot it at 43-43.
- BC connected on nearly 58% from the floor (15-26), including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.
- There were six lead changes and five ties through the first nine minutes of play, with neither team gaining more than a three-point advantageÂ
- Post scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half
- BC - which entered the game ranked 52nd nationally in turnovers per game (10.4) committed nine in the second half and 16 overall.
- Florida State held a 16-7 advantage in free throw attempts in the second half - which translated to a 29-16 edge overall
- Jaeden Zackery becomes the 46th member of Boston College's 1,000 point club
- Quinten Post is now 14 points away from joining Zackery in BC's prestigious scoring societyÂ
- Mason Madsen is 13-for-24 from 3-point land over his last three games
- Devin McGlockton improved his league-best field goal percentage mark in ACC games to .638 (81-127); he was 5-for-5 on the night
- BC held FSU without a field goal over the final 3:51 of regulation
- Boston College heads back on the road on Saturday, finishing the season series with N.C. State.
