No. 1 Boston College takes four-game win streak on the road.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- • Boston College returned to the top spot in college hockey rankings at No. 1 by USCHO and USA Hockey. It marks the ninth week this season that BC is No. 1 in at least one poll and sixth time in both. The No. 1 Eagles are on the road Friday at UMass Lowell for a 7:15 p.m. faceoff on ESPN+. Friday night's game marks the third and final regular season match-up between BC and Lowell. BC has won 11 of its last 13 games overall with back-to-back sweeps of Merrimack and BU.

BATTLE OF COMM AVE RECAP
• No. 2 BC swept No. 1 BU in a home-and-home series with a 4-1 win at home and 4-3 win on the road in two sold-out arenas.
• The game-one win marked BC's first over the No. 1 team in the nation since taking down Miami in the 2010 National Semifinal.
• The series sweep was the Eagles' first weekend sweep of the Terriers since December 2010 and first in seven tries.
• Jacob Fowler (.935 save pct., 58 saves) was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week and Ryan Leonard (1g, 2a, 3pts) was named the Rookie of the Week.

• His 13-game streak is tied with Maine's Josh Nadeau for the longest in the country this season, which is also tied for the longest in Hockey East since 2018-19.
• Gauthier scored his first career hat trick at Merrimack (1/19).
• Gauthier has scored 19 goals in 23 games as the sophomore ranks first in Hockey East in goals and first and second in the league and nationally in goals per game (0.83).
