Kravitz and McQuide Earn School Records as Track & Field Opens Indoor Season

Eagles compile two school records and eight top-10 times in program history on Saturday.
BOSTON, Mass. – Colin Kravitz and Max McQuide earn school records, as the Boston College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams open its 2024-25 indoor season on Saturday with two meets.
The Eagles began the 2024-25 indoor season with the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at the BU Track & Tennis Center, while also competing at the New Balance Early Bird Invite at the TRACK at new balance.
BC earned two school records on Saturday, in addition to compiling eight top-10 times in program history.
Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener
Max McQuide started off the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener strong for the Eagles, breaking the school record for the Men's 600m. McQuide finished second overall with a time of 1:18.70.
Colin Kravitz continued the successful day for BC, running to a school record time of 33.95 in the Men's 300m. Kravitz placed third overall out of 28 runners.
The Eagles also earned nine top-10 times in school history at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Kyla Palmer (1:33.53) now sits at second all-time in school history in the Women's 600m, while Kylee Bernard (39.27) moved into second all-time in school history in the Women's 300m. Ava Carter (39.85) sits at fourth all-time in the Women's 300m, and Molly Hudson (9:17.55) and Aliyah Canty (40.52) both moved into seventh all-time in program history for the Women's 3000m and Women's 300m respectively.
Three Eagles jumped into the school's top-10 list for the Men's 5000m. Theodor Schucht (14:07.40) now sits at No. 2 all time, while Will Purnell (14:11.49) is No. 3 all-time and Edward Sullivan (14:13.75) is No. 5 all-time.
Ella Fadil, Molly Hudson, Abby Loveys, and Roshni Singh all reached the time standards for the 2025 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships with their times in the Women's 3000m and 5000m.
New Balance Early Bird Invite
Morgan Champi earned a PR in the Women's Weight Throw at the New Balance Early Bird Invite, finishing with a mark of 15.94m, 52' 3 3⁄4. Champi's mark of 15.94m is also good for No. 2 all-time is school history.
The Eagles had three athletes finish top-five in the Women's High Jump. Abbi Peterson (1.65m) finished second and Sophie Albright (1.65m) finished fourth, while Jada Shanklin (1.60m) placed fifth.
Colin Shaver placed first overall in the Men's 3000m with a time of 8:25.77, while Tommy Flynn (8:35.65) finished third.
