Men's Swimming & Diving Earns Victory at Terrier Invite

Men's Swimming & Diving earns top spot at the Terrier Invite, while the Women place fourth overall.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving team competed at the Terrier Invite on the campus of Boston University over the span of Nov. 22-24. The Men's team earned a victory, while the Women's team finished fourth overall.Â
The Men's Swimming & Diving team earned a victory on Sunday, compiling a total of 1685.5 points throughout the three-day invite. The Women's Swimming & Diving team finished in fourth place, with a total of 1014 points. Northeastern took home the team win on the Women's side with 1435 points.
The Eagles broke five school records, while also earning 38 total personal-best times throughout the weekend. Seven Individuals also earned a spot to race in the U.S. Open meet on Dec. 6-8 in Greensboro, N.C.Â

- Lauren Lee (1:49.30) took home first place in the Women's 200 yard freestyleÂ
- Bryce Henkel (48.51) earned first overall in the Men's 100 yard butterflyÂ
- The Men's 200 yard medley relay of Charles Bruce, Luke Condon, Jack Doyle, and Bryce Henkel earned first place with a time of 1:28.89
- Samantha Smith broke her second school record of the weekend during prelims on Sunday, earning the top spot in program history for the Women's 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:00.42
- Jack Doyle earned a school, pool, and meet record for his time of 1:45.15 in the Men's 200 butterfly
- Megan Kramer (16:43.10) earned first place in the Women's 1650 yard freestyle, while Ben Huffman (15:23.74) took home the top spot in the Men's 1650 yard freestyle
- Samantha Smith earned two first place finishes in the Women's 200 yard backstroke and the Women's 200 yard butterfly
- Liza Murtagh raced to first place in the Women's 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.49
- The Men's 400 yard freestyle relay of Peter Nolan, Bryce Henkel, Jack Doyle, and Charles Bruce raced to a time of 2:59.20, which was good for first place
