Women's Cross Country Ready for the Big Dance

The group of seven Eagles are set to compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championship meet on Saturday.
MADISON, Wisc. – The No. 27 ranked Boston College Women's Cross Country team is set to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisc.Â
The Big Dance
The Eagles are set to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning, which will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisc.Â
Boston College will have seven athletes competing at the NCAA Championship on Saturday, while also having two alternates travel with the team. Boston College will feature: Yasmine Abbes, Aoife Dunne, Lily Flynn, Molly Hudson, Abby Lewis, Abby Loveys, and Roshni Singh, while Ella Fadil and Molly FitzPatrick will travel as alternates. The group of nine Eagles that will be traveling to Wisconsin will feature seven upperclassmen and two underclassmen.Â
On the Women's side, the Eagles are one of eight ACC schools that earned a bid to the championship meet. Of the 31 total teams competing in the Women's six-kilometer course on Saturday, 30 are nationally ranked according to the USTFCCCA week 6 national poll. Boston College currently sits at No. 27 nationally, and third in the regional poll.Â
The Women's 6k race is set to begin at 10:20 a.m. ET, and fans can tune in to watch the competition nationally on ESPNU and can stream the race via ESPN+.Â

Look Back at Regionals
Boston College is coming off competing at the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Northeast Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 15 in Hopkinton, N.H. The Eagles placed third overall with a total of 131 points, trailing regional champion Providence and runner-up Syracuse.Â
Aoife Dunne and Abby Lewis both earned All-Region honors for their top-25 finishes on the day. Lewis placed 20th overall with a time of 20:24.43, while Dunne crossed the finish line at 21st place with a time of 20:26.55.Â
Abby Loveys (20:32.29) and Molly Hudson (20:34.53) finished 26th and 27th respectively, while Roshni Singh was the final scorer for the Eagles placing 37th overall with a time of 20:52.38.Â
The Eagles failed to earn an auto-qualifying bid to the NCAA Championship meet, but due to their impressive 2024 campaign, Boston College earned an at-large bid as announced during the selection show on Saturday night.Â
