NEW ORLEANS, La. – Head Coach and Director Pete Watson won the Ray Treacy Award for Northeast Region Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year on Tuesday afternoon. It is his second time winning The Ray Treacy Award.
Watson was recognized as the women's regional Cross Country coach of the year on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the 2023 season. Watson, in his fourth year at the helm, is coming off his most successful cross country campaign, leading the Eagles to their first NCAA Northeast Regional title in 19 years. The women's team finished in first place at the regional, securing them an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Championships in Columbia, Missouri. This was the third-straight berth to the NCAA Championships for the Eagles and the first time that all five scorers earned All-Region honors. Boston College also placed seventh overall as a Women's team at the 2025 ACC Championships and would go on to finish 29th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
