Eagles Ranked Second in USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's lacrosse enters the 2024 season ranked second in the USA Lacrosse Magazine's Nike/USA Lacrosse Preseason Top 20.
The Eagles are coming off another stellar season, boasting a 19-4 mark en route to the program's first ACC title, the third ACC regular-season championship since 2018, and a sixth straight national semifinals and national title appearance.Â
Northwestern enters the season No. 1, while North Carolina, Denver, and Syracuse round out the top five.Â
BC leads the country with 119 wins since 2017 and heads into the campaign with a reloaded roster. Eight players were named to the top 50 returning players list according to ILWomen.com, featuring Becky Browndorf (50th), Rachel Clark (32nd), Shea Dolce (30th), Mckenna Davis (26t), Cassidy Weeks (23rd), Emma LoPinto (21st), Sydney Scales (12th), and Belle Smith (7th).Â
The Eagles open the 2024 slate on February 9th against UMass at 4 p.m.
