CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer begins a five-match homestand on Thursday against Dartmouth at 5:30 p.m. before hosting Sacred Heart on Sunday at 1 p.m.Â

Boston College earned its first road win of the season with a 2-0 triumph against Akron on Sunday.After a scoreless first half, the Eagles came out of the break to take advantage of their opportunities. In the 52nd minute, Ella Richards found teammate Bella Douglas, who found the back of the net after slipping past two Akron defenders. Playing in her first collegiate contest, Hanna Schmelzle scored 30 seconds later following a nifty move past the defender before she gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead with her first collegiate goal. Ava Feeley also recorded her first collegiate points with the assist. The Eagles saw three freshmen step up with a goal or assist, while Richards tallied her first helper of the season.Â
