Eagles Play to Scoreless Draw with Green Bay

Boston College remained unbeaten at home with a record of 2-0-1
NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College and Green Bay played to a scoreless draw in the first-ever meeting between the schools on Monday night at the Newton Soccer Complex.
The Eagles pushed their record to 2-1-1, while the Phoenix also moved to 2-1-1.
Freshman Xavier O'Neil led all BC players in shot attempts with three, while freshman Alfie Hughes and junior Drew Serafino both had one shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Brennan Klein finished with two saves, leading to his third straight shutout and seventh of his career. Klein extended his shutout streak to 270 minutes to begin his redshirt junior season.
Freshman Marco Dos Santos gave the Eagles their first quality scoring chance of the game in the 34th minute after he cut towards the middle at the top of the penalty box and ripped a shot just wide of the left post.
Hughes nearly broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when he took a header from classmate Jack Burkhardt off a Green Bay goal kick. Hughes proceeded to streak down the left side of the field and took a shot with his left foot that was saved by Tobias Jahn.

BC begins ACC play on Friday night with a trip to Raleigh to face NC State at 6 p.m. on ACC Network.
