BC is Set to Face-Off at #5 Louisville

Eagles looking for their first victory in ACC play
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass- The Boston College volleyball team continues ACC play on the road against Louisville in Louisville, K.Y. on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 p.m.
Boston College faced Notre Dame on the road for the first ACC match-up of the season this past Friday. The Eagles fell in five sets, the Eagles won in the second and third set.
Senior Alayna Crabtree led the offense with 12 kills followed by senior Katrina Jensen tacking on 10. Crabtree added on eight digs, while Jensen added five blocks. Senior Julia Haggerty had a season-high 11 blocks. The defense was led by senior libero Anna Murphy with 19 digs, while senior setter Sophia Lambros guided the offense with 21 assists, tacking on two service aces. Schroder played on both sides of the ball, collecting nine kills, one assist, one service ace, 16 digs and six blocks. Schroders performance led the team with 13.5 points.
Louisville is 10-1 on the season and 1-0 in ACC play, coming off of a victory against Syracuse Friday night. Freshman middle blocker Reese Robins recorded seven kills and four blocks and sophomore middle blocker Hannah Sherman added on four kills and five blocks to lead the No.5 ranked Cardinals to a victory in three clean sets.
Sunday's match-up will be the fourteenth meeting all-time between the two teams since 2014. The Eagles are looking for its third win against the Cardinals. The last time the two teams met on Oct. 7, 2022, the Eagles fell in three sets.
Following the Sunday afternoon match-up the Eagles return to the road heading to Pittsburgh, Pa. to face-off Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.
