
Eagles Upended Versus Virginia Tech

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer suffered a 2-1 setback to Virginia Tech on Thursday evening at the Newton Soccer Complex.
BC falls to 3-5-2 and 0-2-0 in the ACC, while VT improves to 4-3-3 and 1-1-0 in the league.
The Hokies struck first in the opening six minutes of the contest to take a 1-0 lead.
It was a quick response from the Eagles in the 13th minute, as Aislin Streicek found Ella Richards, who drilled it past the goalkeeper for her team-leading fourth goal of the season to tie things up.
Neither team found the back of the net over the last 32 minutes of the opening half, leading to a tie going into the break.
The Hokies broke the tie in the 70th minute for a 2-1 lead, holding the Eagles without a goal to seal the win.
BC returns to action on Sunday at 2 p.m. on ACC Network to face No. 8 Clemson.
