BC Travels to Blacksburg to Take on Virginia Tech

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Eagles travel to Blacksburg, Virginia for their second road conference game of the season to take on Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. The game will be available to stream on ACC Network Extra.Â

- Boston College played to a 2-2 draw with Boston University on Tuesday night
- Junior Aidan Farwell drew a penalty inside the box in the 21st minute, and proceeded to finish home the penalty kick beating the Terriers' goalie to his right
- Sophomore Augustine Boadi secured his first career goal when his shot in the 43rd minute deflected off a defender and landed into the back of the net
- Freshman Marco Dos Santos led the Eagles with three shot attempts, including one shot on goal
- Senior goalkeeper Leon Musial made his second start and third appearance of the season, finishing with three saves
SCOUTING THE HOKIES
- Virginia Tech currently sits with a record of 1-2-3 (1-0-1 ACC)
- The Hokies are coming off a 2-1 win this past weekend against No. 5 Louisville on the road
- Freshman Oliver Roche leads the team in goals and points with three goals and six points on the seasonÂ
- The Hokies have split time in net with junior Timi Adams and red-shirt senior Connor Jordan-Hyde both making three starts each, and having a combined record of 1-2-3
- Virginia Tech is coached by Mike Brizendine, who is in his 15th season as the head coach of the Hokies
HOME SUCCESS
- Boston College has opened the season with a 2-0-3 record at home
- The Eagles have outscored their opponents 4-2 throughout the five games, with wins over Merrimack and Jacksonville
- The Eagles' goalkeepers have a combined record of 2-0-3 at home, with 12 saves and four clean sheets
UNDERCLASSMEN IMPACT
- The Eagles' roster consists of 20 combined underclassmen, including 11 freshmen
- The freshmen class has played 40 percent of the combined total minutes so far this season and the sophomores have played 25 percent, totaling 65 percent of the minutes played
- The freshmen and sophomores have totaled 71 percent of the field players minutes this season
- Sophomores Ted Cargill and Augustine Boadi are tied for second on the team for goals this season, behind Jonathan Murphy
SERIES HISTORY
