CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein is excited to announce the promotion of Callahan Kent to assistant coach.Â
Kent spent two seasons on the sidelines for the Eagles, working primarily with the goalies and supervised lacrosse operations off the field. The Eagles have posted a 38-8 mark with a pair of national title appearances and an ACC championship since she arrived at BC.Â
"I am so thankful for Blake James and Acacia Walker-Weinstein for allowing me the opportunity to work with the elite athletes and staff at Boston College," said Kent. "Acacia, Jen Kent and Sam Apuzzo have created such a special program that I am fortunate to be a part of."
Boston College finished in the top 10 in goals against average the last two seasons, while Rachel Hall finished second in the ACC and 22nd in the nation in goals against average last season. In 2023, Shea Dolce won the ACC Freshman of the Year award and was named the ACC Tournament's Most Valuable Player. She led all freshmen in the country in both save percentage and goals against average.Â
"The players, the families and the alumni, and the coaches continue to bring Boston College Women's Lacrosse to the next level," mentioned Kent. "I look forward to getting back to work, reaching new heights capturing our second ACC title and our next national championship. Dream BIG!"
Kent contributed to another stellar season for the Eagles, where they finished 19-4 with its first ACC championship and a sixth straight national title appearance. She was an intricate part of the staff that was named the IWLCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.Â
