Five Eagles Earn ACC All-Academic Honors

Seniors Cimini and Walsh lead BC contingent on ACC baseball roster.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Five Boston College baseball players were named to the ACC All-Academic Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Seniors Vince Cimini (Scranton, Pa.) and Barry Walsh (Sterling, Mass.) led the largest BC contingent on the All-Academic Team.
Junior Travis Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomores Sam McNulty (Cambridge, Mass.) and Eric Schroeder (Ridgewood, N.J.) round out the group of Eagles. All five BC players are first-time honorees.
A record number of players were named to the Academic Team. Requirements for selection to the All-ACC Baseball Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, position players must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests and pitchers in 20 percent.
