Women's Basketball Announces Two Additions to Roster

Teya Sidberry | Forward | Salt Lake City, Utah | Previous School: Utah
Sidberry played one season at Utah, where she contributed to the Utes' regular season Pac-12 title, a 27-5 record and a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.The incoming Eagle appeared in 28 games, seeing 10.8 minutes of action while turning in 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.Â
Sidberry scored in double figures in five games, highlighted by a career-high 16 points against Southern Utah, shooting 8-of-13 from the field with eight boards.Â
The Utah native also turned in one double-double with 12 points and a personal-high 10 boards in the season opener against Idaho. Her solid shooting percentage of 56.8 percent from the field was second on the team with at least 95 shot attempts.Â
Her best stretch of the season came over the first 12 games, averaging 7.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and shooting over 50 percent from the floor.Â
Sidberry turned in a stellar high school career, where she was the 2022 Ms. Basketball and all-time leading scorer in Utah High School history with 2,534 points. She averaged an impressive double-double of 29.6 points and 12.7 rebounds her junior season, and was named the 3A Player of the Year in back-to-back years in 2019-20 and 2020-21 at Judge Memorial High School.Â
She played for the Colorado Premier Nike EYBL AAU team from 2019-21 en route to being named to the Nike All-Second Team in the summer of '21. Sidberry also played softball and ran track for her high school.

JaKayla Thompson | Guard | Louisville, Ky. | DuPont Manual High School
A 5'8 point guard from Louisville, Ky., Thompson has averaged at least 15 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting over 45 percent from the field over the last two seasons, while more than doubling her production from her freshman and sophomore years.
The newly-signed Eagle turned in 1,700 points, 620 rebounds, 540 steals, and 530 assists. She played for the Kentucky Premier EYBL squad from 2020-22.
 Born on August 16, 2005, she is the daughter of Jarvis Thompson Sr., and Kendra Thompson. She has one brother who attends Louisville.ÂBernabei-McNamee on Thompson
