BC Set to Conclude Their Season In Syracuse

Eagles will take on the Orange in final series of 2023 season
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College will play a three game series against Syracuse this weekend. The Orange are 23-22-1 this season and 7-12-1 in ACC play. They are currently on an eight game winning streak. All three games this weekend will be broadcasted on ACCNXÂ
Last time out for the Eagles
In Louisville this past weekend, BC went 0-3 in the series. In Friday's game, BC hung tough for much of the contest, holding the Cardinals to just three runs in the first four innings. Sophomore Hannah Slike homered to give her team a 2-1 lead in the third. It was her team-leading seventh of the season. But it wouldn't take Louisville long to respond, scoring two in the bottom of the third inning to take a 3-2 lead, including a solo shot from Taylor Roby. Then in the fifth, the Cardinals rattled off a six run inning to ultimately take full control of the game.Â
The Eagles once again kept things close through much of Saturday's game. Graduate pitcher Susannah Anderson and the defense held the explosive Louisville offense to just two runs through three innings. But the Cardinals were able to break the game open in the fourth with a four run inning to make the score 6-0. Anderson pitched 3.1 innings, allowing eight hits and recording one strikeout. Sofia Earle also saw time in the circle, she recorded two strikeouts and allowed two hits in five total at bats. Finally, in the fifth inning, Louisville put the exclamation mark on their Senior Day win with a two run shot by Korbe Otis.Â
