Eagles Earn Top Three Finish at Women's Fleet Race Nationals

Boston College claims second straight podium spot after winning title last year

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — The Boston College Women's Sailing team earned a podium spot at the Women's Fleet Race National Championships on Friday night, placing third of eighteen competing finalist teams across the two-day championship round.

After placing fifth in the semifinal round, the Eagles booked their trip back to the finals after taking home the title in 2022. The A Division placed in the top five in four of the ten races, while the B division finished in the top three in four of their races, including a victory in race six. Boston College's 138 points were just 15 behind Yale's 123, who finished runner-up to the champions Stanford.

The Eagles championship season continues next week, with the Open Fleet Race National Championship on deck from May 30th to June 2nd.
