BC to Begin Play at 2023 ACC Championship on Friday

Conference championship to be held at The Country Club of North Carolina from April 21-24
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College men's golf team will begin play at the 2023 ACC Championship on Friday, April 21 at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C.
The format for the ACC Championship includes 54 holes of stroke play on April 21-22 before match play begins on April 23. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to match play semifinals. The finals will be contested on April 24.
Stroke play begins on Friday, April 21 with 36 holes of continuous play. BC will be paired with Notre Dame and Virginia Tech, starting on hole 10. The final 18 holes of stroke play will be contested on Saturday, April 22.
The Country Club of North Carolina was established in 1963 and has hosted numerous large-scale golf events including two USGA championships: the 1980 U.S. Amateur won by Hal Sutton, the 2010 U.S. Girls' Junior won by Doris Chen; and the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur won by Nick Dunlap. In addition, the Club has hosted seven North Carolina Amateurs and seven Southern Amateurs. It will host the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championships in April of 2023, when the club celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Since 2003, it has been a certified member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program. The Dogwood Course was designed by Ellis Maples and Willard Byrd and renovated by Kris Spence in 2016. The Cardinal Course, designed by Willard Byrd and Robert Trent Jones Sr., completed a renovation by Arthur Hills in 2002.
