Eagles Complete Day One of UConn Invitational at GreatHorse

HAMPDEN, Mass. — The Boston College Men's Golf team completed the first day of the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse and currently sit in sixth place heading into day two.
Senior William Musson led the way for the Eagles, shooting a 2-over-par 74 in the first round of play. Musson completed the round with two birdies, shooting 1-under on Par-5 holes, and is currently placed tied for 11th.
Kieran Low, tied for 22nd place, recorded a 75 in round one with two birdies, as every Eagle recorded exactly two on day one. Tommy Mangan, sitting just three spots behind Low, started off strong to begin the invitational. He shot par a total of 13 times, the third most thus far and recorded a 76.
Tony Yin (T35) and Markus Lam (T53) shot a 77 and 79, respectively. Lam is currently shooting even on Par-3 holes.
Thomas Wang, playing as an individual in the invitational, recorded a 2-over-par 74 just like Musson and is tied for 11th. Wang's two birdies occurred on the second and fifth holes.
The Eagles are currently tied for first on Par-3 holes at 2-over par. The team has also shot par the third most with 54.
Competition will continue on Monday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 a.m., as round two will commence.
