Men's Golf Finishes Sixth in The Doc Gimmler Invitational

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Due to inclement weather, round three of The Doc Gimmler Invitational has been canceled. The Boston College Men's Golf team will finish the invitational in sixth place at 9-over par, as all scores from day one will be final.
Senior Markus Lam concluded his first tournament of the season tied for seventh place at 1-under-par. He recorded a total of seven birdies over the course of the tournament's two rounds. Lam shot 1-under on both Par-3 and Par-5 holes.
At T-26 overall, both Tommy Mangan and Kieran Low shot 3-over par. Mangan recorded an even round two score. He also shot the best in the tournament on Par-3 holes (3-under). While, Low improved in the second round, shooting 1-over-par 71. Both Mangan and Low finished 1-under on Par-5 holes.
Tony Yin finished with a T-55 placement at 8-over par, with his best round of the two starting the tournament with a 72. Yin shot 1-under on Par-5 holes and shot par a total of 24 times. Thomas Wang, tied for 67th place, recorded a 72 in round two and also shot par 24 times. Wang finished even on Par-5 holes.
Jackson Runquist, the Eagles' individual, shot 5-over par overall and finished T-40. In round two, he shot a 71 with two birdies for his best round of the invitational. On Par-5 holes, Runquist shot 1-under.
The Maroon & Gold will compete next at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse in Hampden, Mass. Competition will be played from Sept. 27-Sept. 29 at the GreatHorse Golf Club.
